Its 3.30 in the afternoon on Thursday here in England. I have just returned from the Hospital after visiting my Oncologist. My Heart Lung surgeon isn't back from holiday yet, but it looks as if I don't need him for a while.

We talked about the scan I had in August. It seems that the'nodule' that showed up on my right lung, on the June scan, hasn't changed in size. The radiologist says that its still the size of a 'lentil'. The general opinion is to leave...

Disappeared

Our 17 year old cat has disappeared a few days back. Presumably he wandered off into the woods behind my house to die, but I guess I won't ever know. He was having some trouble getting around and was blind in one eye. I guess it was his time.

I think this will be my last cat. Lowlimit is allergic to them, plus he caused some other notable problems which I won't go into. Maybe when I retire I will get a dog, I should have time to train one and spend with...

I am the youngest of quite a large family. My late sister, was a good many years older than me. By the time she had her first daughter, Jane, my Mum had just given birth to me.

So, I am Jane's Uncle, but we are the same sort of age. She is younger.

We grew up together and went to the same schools. When it came to work. I went to work for one my of my older brothers. She went into dance and music etc..

Life took its usual course and we lost touch for a good...

Hi,

It's about an hour's drive NE of Vegas.

I'm seriously considering retiring there at the end of September, and was wondering if anyone was even remotely familiar with it?

From what I've found out so far, it's very nice, with a reasonable cost of living.

I will, of course, visit it before making a firm decision, but was wondering if anyone can give me any preliminary info on it - good or bad - that I can't get from the websites.

My mom passed away just before 9 pm Thursday night.
I have been awol from the boards for a bit as I stayed in her hospital room watching over her so she wouldn't be alone. Exhaustion has set in but the melt down is yet to come.
My oldest sons wedding was Sat and I know our gaurdian angel was there smiling down at her two grandsons standing side by side looking ever so handsome in their tuxedos and welcoming Stefanie into the family.
The priest acknowledge Grandma at the wedding...

We had over a foot last weekend and another
foot from late afternoon and overnight.
Yesterday afternoon they declared a snow

Dans mom passed away peacefully at approx. 9:30 p.m. Tues night. Myself, Dan & my sister in law Ann were with her. We will be having an immediate family only mass to celebrate her life later on this week as per her request. Thank you so much for all of your prayers, emails and support during this time. It is greatly appreciated.

As some of u know I have been up north caring for my parents for most of the summer. I am going to be going home at the end of the long weekend. I have the guilts leaving but I have to see if they can manage on their own now. Plus it's been a long time to be away from my guys. Keep your fingers crossed that they can manage.

My grandson Dylan(5) decided that it would be alot of fun to sit in the clothes basket and slide down the 14 steps into their rec room.First run no problem,second run,roll over bumps bruises almost a broken arm and 3 loose teeth.Thought I was past this type of worry.

O and its a hollow feeling when it comes down to dealing...

Our grandsons mother passed away sometime yesterday/last night... From what we've been told they were trying to put in a portacath for the Chemo, there was a lot of fluid and they were not able to keep it out of the lungs... I think she must have drowned in the fluid...

This Morning ~ We went to her house and talked to her family and they are trying to cope with this... They are completely blown away, they thought she was getting better... I tried to find the right words, I'm not sure...

Just when I thought life would get easier ~ Ha!!!

For a while I've had some pains in my foot, so I had an Xray last week ~ It came back Osteoprosis...
When the nurse called with the results, I couldn't believe it ~ I've never heard of it being in feet before... I suppose anywhere you have bone you can have it... The doctor said take 500mg of Calcium/w/Vitamin D three times a day... Well I'm prone to have Kidney Stones ~ Calcium causes Kidney Stones... I did buy a bottle of recommended by a Pharmacist that sells natural...
